About the position

The Associate Engineer, Software Quality Assurance role at TransUnion focuses on ensuring the quality of software products, particularly in the mobile domain. The position involves collaboration with team members to improve device recognition and contribute to automation tests, while also troubleshooting customer issues. This hybrid role allows for both virtual and in-person work, fostering a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to improve device recognition.
• Contribute to automation tests and implement improvements to the testing process.
• Troubleshoot customer issues and understand how customers use our products.
• Learn to test the Android SDK and run test automation.
• Receive training in Agile methodologies and tools used for tracking work and communication.

Requirements

• 1+ years of quality assurance experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with scripting or programming languages associated with Android development and testing, including Java, Kotlin, Groovy, and Bash.
• Excitement and passion for mobile platforms and ecosystems.
• Strong interest in testing software.

Nice-to-haves

• AA/BA/MA in Computer Science or related field.
• Skills in debugging and troubleshooting system and application problems.
• Ability and desire to learn new technologies and tools.
