About the position

Reporting to the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia, the Service Line Special Project Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the achievement of divisional goals through maintaining primary responsibility for: Simultaneous oversight of multiple special projects. Works with the Chairman of Anesthesia to maintain all BMC Anesthesia clinical and non-clinical operational policies. Works with the Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia to develop and maintain all training materials necessary to operate the Anesthesia Practice. Assist in designing, producing, and acting upon standard reports to audit the progress and outcomes of surgical projects. In collaboration with the Chairman, creates the monthly schedule for all anesthesia providers which includes the daily schedule and on-call schedule. Responsible for weekly payroll entry and oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Simultaneous oversight of multiple special projects.
  • Maintain all BMC Anesthesia clinical and non-clinical operational policies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of broad experience in the healthcare industry.
  • An Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Clear understanding of the healthcare industry as it relates to hospital and Surgical/Anesthesia practices.
  • Experience in engaging and collaborating with management and staff in projects and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of a systems approach to managing quality and service improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of the complex infrastructure of the organization to facilitate development and improvements compatible with the BMC Mission and Vision.
