About the position

The Anesthesia Surgery and Staff Scheduler position at Advanced Anesthesia Services is a full-time role focused on managing the scheduling of anesthesia providers across multiple surgery centers. This position is essential for ensuring efficient operations and optimal staffing levels, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate online scheduling of anesthesia providers for surgery center coverage, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet demand.
  • Liaise with surgery center staff to schedule anesthesia services efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules for anesthesia providers and operating rooms.
  • Coordinate communication between anesthesia providers, surgeons, and surgery center staff regarding scheduling changes, cancellations, and other pertinent information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including project management, planning and organizing events, and other tasks, working closely with the owner/CEO to accomplish company goals.
  • Act as a point of contact for anesthesia providers regarding scheduling inquiries and updates.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for optimizing scheduling processes and improving overall efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred.
  • Experience with EMRs including Epic, Qgenda, and others.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Google Workspace and scheduling software.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations is a plus.
