About the position

The Anesthesia Technician II (AT 2) at Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting licensed anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies. This position involves direct patient care activities under the supervision of a circulating RN, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for anesthesia administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation, and application of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Prepare and clean patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia.
• Provide support for anesthesia cases by preparing patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and maintenance of anesthesia delivery systems.
• Sterilize and disinfect anesthesia equipment, order supplies, and maintain stock in all anesthesia machines and the AWS.
• Assist with direct and indirect patient care activities, including cleaning OR suites and managing supplies and equipment.
• Transport and position patients, prep patients for procedures, and transport specimens and blood products.

Requirements

• One year of Anesthesia Technician 1 experience or equivalent anesthesia experience required.
• Must complete Anesthesia Tech II curriculum within one year of hire or transfer to position.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR) required.
