About the position
This position is for a locum tenens anesthesiologist at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Northwestern California. The role involves providing anesthesia services for various surgical cases, including general surgery, OB/GYN, pediatric dental, and orthopedic procedures. The anesthesiologist will be responsible for managing patient care during surgery and will have a call schedule that includes both weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for surgical procedures including general surgery, OB/GYN, pediatric dental, and orthopedic cases.
- Manage patient care during surgical procedures.
- Participate in a call schedule, providing coverage during specified hours.
- Supervise and provide medical direction as required.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed anesthesiologist with prescriptive authority.
- Experience in a critical access hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system is a plus.
