About the position

The Front End UI Developer position at Morgan Stanley involves designing and building advanced UI applications for web and iOS platforms. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features, as well as maintaining and debugging existing applications. The developer will leverage various JavaScript frameworks, particularly Angular and React, to enhance mobile technologies and improve application performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced UI applications for the web and iOS platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
• Proven 5+ year software development experience in front end UI development using JavaScript technologies including React
• Experience with building and testing Angular UI applications
• Proven working experience in mobile technologies
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MDM, Mobile Device Management such as Intune or MobileIron
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
