About the position

The Angular/Java Full Stack Developer position at McKesson is a critical role focused on developing high-performance applications that support essential healthcare operations. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Angular for front-end development and Java for back-end services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to connect front-end and back-end systems seamlessly.
  • Ensure code quality and best practices, including automated testing, security, and performance optimization.
  • Maintain, improve, and upgrade existing systems to align with McKesson's high standards of service delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continual improvement.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in full-stack development with Angular and Java.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and agile development practices.
  • Understanding of security best practices, especially in handling sensitive healthcare data.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on quality and user-centered development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Jasmine, or Protractor.
