About the position

An employer in the Healthcare Software industry is seeking an Angular/React Developer to join their team remotely in the United States. This role involves migrating a handful of applications into a modern tech stack. The applications in question are internal tools that serve as production and platform support utilities, utilized by the Platform Support Engineering team. The current applications are built using Angular and connect to various databases including Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB. The objective is to transition these applications to a modern JavaScript library, most likely React, and to containerize them within AWS/EKS. This position offers an opportunity to work on significant application modernization projects, contributing to the enhancement of internal tools that are critical for platform support.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing applications from Angular to a modern tech stack, primarily using React.
• Work with the Platform Support Engineering team to understand the requirements and functionalities of internal applications.
• Containerize applications using AWS/EKS for improved deployment and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of development experience in software engineering.
• Proficient in Angular and React frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB databases.
• Familiarity with AWS and EKS for cloud-based application deployment.
• Experience in application modernization projects.
