About the position

The Animal Nutrition Sales Specialist at ALCIVIA is responsible for marketing and providing animal nutrition products and services, primarily focusing on dairy and beef sectors. This role emphasizes building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions to enhance sales and profitability. The position requires daily travel within a designated territory and involves both sales and consulting activities to ensure customer satisfaction and support sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Market and provide Animal Nutrition products and services to customers.
• Grow sales and profitability in core business areas including Dairy, Beef, and Calf/Heifer.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with producer members and customers.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource for producers, providing proactive support.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
• Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities to drive product sales.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and market share.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute promotional activities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of products and services offered.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices.
• Promote sustainable practices and products.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related field equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a sales or similar role.
• Strong understanding of products and services within the assigned area of business.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
