The City of Little Rock is seeking an Animal Services Officer to join the Housing and Neighborhood Programs Department. The officer will be responsible for investigating reported violations, issuing citations and warnings to violators, and taking proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of animals. This position is not only about enforcing laws but also about making a significant impact on the lives of animals and the community at large. The officer will work closely with the community to address animal-related issues and advocate for animal welfare. Responsibilities

• Enforce animal laws and ordinances.
• Investigate alleged violations of animal laws and ordinances.
• Issue citations and warnings to violators.
• Take proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of animals in the community.
• Engage with the community to address animal-related issues.

Requirements

• Completion of high school education.
• One year of experience in the care of domestic animals.
• Possession of a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment.
• Possession of Arkansas Certification of Training for Animal Euthanasia within six months of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment.
