About the position
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in the overall operations of their assigned unit. This role requires critical thinking, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations while ensuring compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional team in delivering services to patients, assuring quality care, and effectively managing resources.
Responsibilities
- Support the Nurse Manager or Director in overall operations of the assigned unit.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and creativity in managing resources.
- Achieve quality performance and maintain positive employee relations.
- Coach, mentor, and lead a professional and technical team in service delivery.
- Assure quality of care is delivered to patients.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain respectful relationships with all team members and patients.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as per specialty/unit requirements.
- EKG competency.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
- Professional Certification.
