About the position
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in the overall operations of their assigned unit. This role involves demonstrating critical thinking skills, managing resources effectively, and ensuring quality performance and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is responsible for coaching and mentoring a professional team, delivering high-quality patient care, and fostering positive employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Support the Nurse Manager or Director in overall operations of the assigned unit.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and creativity in managing resources.
- Ensure quality of care is delivered to patients.
- Coach, mentor, and lead a professional and technical team.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain outstanding customer service and respectful relationships.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) as per specialty/unit requirements.
- EKG competency.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
- Professional Certification.
