About the position

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an Annual Giving Manager for Digital Marketing & Design to join the Annual Giving team in the Office of Advancement. This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of digital fundraising strategies for the Office of Annual Giving. The Annual Giving Manager will play a crucial role in promoting the importance of philanthropy to the faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of UAB. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital strategy that utilizes various channels including email, crowdfunding, social media, and text messaging. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as an integral team member to facilitate a successful fundraising program, ensuring that all digital initiatives align with the overall goals of the Office of Annual Giving. In this role, the Annual Giving Manager will manage digital fundraising and solicitation campaigns across multiple platforms, including the web, social media, email, and text. The position will also involve creating and designing both print and digital communication materials to effectively engage potential donors. Additionally, the Annual Giving Manager will lead the Giving Day program and committees, manage the Future Blazer Alumni initiative, and recruit and train students to support these efforts. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with other team members to achieve success in fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Related Field
  • 2 years of related experience

  • Experience with InDesign and social media platforms strongly preferred
  • Experience with GiveCampus, ThankView, Marketing Cloud, and iModules preferred
