About the position

This position involves working collaboratively between two teams that primarily utilize Java but are increasingly integrating Python into their projects. The role is critical in supporting the development and maintenance of applications related to online learning management and course content management, requiring a blend of technical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and support of the Online Learning Management Application, ensuring effective data flow and integration with systems like PeopleSoft.
• Support the Facility Facing Application, managing incoming data from various sources and maintaining application performance.
• Collaborate with multiple teams, including Business Analysts, Project Managers, and developers, to ensure project success.
• Participate in both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies, adapting to the needs of each team.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, specifically versions 3.6 and 3.1.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Basic knowledge of React or Vue frameworks.
• Experience with Postgres and/or Oracle databases, with SQL knowledge being a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting multiple teams or projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Java development.
• Strong soft skills, including being driven, a team player, and effective communication regarding technical skills and tools.
