About the position

As an Antenna/RF Systems Engineer at Calvert Systems, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining Antenna/RF systems and infrastructure. This role involves overseeing the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. Your technical expertise will be crucial in identifying and recommending necessary repairs, as well as developing test plans and strategies for wireless communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Antenna/RF systems and infrastructure.
• Oversee hardware and software systems installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance.
• Identify and recommend repairs as needed.
• Create test plans to qualify and quantify different modulation schemes.
• Study new system level features and collaborate with engineers to develop comprehensive test strategies.
• Make recommendations to cross-functional teams on resolving wireless system issues.
• Create and execute detailed test plans for antenna performance evaluation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Engineering-related field, or Physics discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar position.
• Experience with C++, MATLAB, Python, or other technical languages.
• Understanding of applied electromagnetics and/or aircraft survivability.
• Comprehensive understanding of EM energy transmission through space and within materials.
