About the position

The Test Engineer position at Northrop Grumman involves working within the Radar Cross Section (RCS) Test Engineering Team, focusing on the design, planning, and execution of RCS/Low Observable (LO) testing. This role is critical in ensuring the performance and reliability of advanced radar systems, requiring hands-on work in a laboratory environment, including the use of specialized equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide Antenna Test Engineering support for RCS test facilities.
• Configure, mount, and test Low Observable (LO) test articles.
• Troubleshoot radar system and data analysis issues during tests.
• Support technicians with troubleshooting and training.
• Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements.

Requirements

• BS Degree in science, engineering, or other STEM-related field plus a minimum of 2 years relatable experience, or an MS degree with relevant experience.
• Experience in RF bench-testing or as an Antenna range/Compact range operator.
• Willingness to work full-time in a laboratory environment, including an anechoic chamber.
• Ability to lift 50lbs on a routine basis.
• Willingness to operate overhead cranes and mobile elevated working platforms.
• Active US Secret Level Security clearance with the ability to obtain Special Access Program Clearance is required.
• US Citizenship is required.
