About the position

The Buying Operations Coordinator at Anthropologie plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operational functions within the buying area. This position involves managing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of merchandise, and maintaining effective communication with vendors and cross-functional partners. The coordinator acts as a liaison between vendors and buyers, ensuring compliance and addressing vendor requests while also collaborating with various teams to achieve common goals for merchandise management.

Responsibilities

• Enter and revise purchase orders for both selling channels.
• Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication and follow-up with vendors and partners.
• Act as a liaison between the vendor and the buyer, managing vendor follow-up and processing RTVs for defective merchandise.
• Develop strong vendor communication skills and assist new vendors with compliance questions.
• Maintain proper setup of SKUs in various systems including pricing, costing, and shipping restrictions.
• Manage backorders and customer service inquiries.
• Collaborate with Buying, Planning, Allocation, and Ecommerce teams to achieve merchandise goals.
• Partner with Merchandising and Web Producers for timely product activations and monitor website changes.

• Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and basic math skills.
