About the position

Anthropologie is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer specializing in Apparel Graphics, particularly with a strong focus on typography, icons, and graphic tees. This role is pivotal in driving innovative design across both the Apparel and Home divisions, with the goal of inspiring new trends that resonate with our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset and a deep curiosity for design, enabling them to envision and execute designs from concept to completion. In this position, the designer will be responsible for creating original graphics that align with seasonal concepts while balancing creative vision with business needs. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and strong problem-solving skills. The designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including print development and legal, to ensure that all designs meet the necessary standards and timelines. The Senior Graphic Designer will also manage a seasonal workload, designing up to 40 styles per season, and will be expected to prepare samples for product reviews. Attention to detail is crucial, as the designer will meticulously review and refine designs to ensure precision and quality. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a broad understanding of the Anthropologie brand and customer base, contributing to the growth of own-brand products, and supporting various design graphic needs.

Responsibilities

  • Envision and independently drive designs from concept to completion.
  • Create original graphics with a wide range of styles, sensibilities, and layouts.
  • Oversee seasonal balances, creating a diverse range of designs that support cohesive storytelling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including print development and legal teams.
  • Manage seasonal workload effectively, designing up to 40 styles per season.
  • Prepare samples for product reviews to inspire and excite stakeholders.
  • Review mill submissions, identifying issues and advising effective solutions.
  • Maintain understanding of product calendars, tracking key benchmarks and deadlines.
  • Contribute to the growth of own-brand products by supporting design graphic needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Product Design, or Fine Art preferred.
  • 5-6 years of experience in the graphic or product design industry.
  • Strong creative and technical skills in Adobe programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of technical platforms NED and Clo.
  • Experience with, or openness to designing with AI programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in typography and graphic design for apparel.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in art, design, and fashion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across dynamic teams.
