About the position

The Anticipated Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher for Middle School is responsible for providing educational support to students with disabilities from January 8, 2025, through March 5, 2025. This role involves implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of students in a middle school setting.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Provide support and guidance to students in a classroom setting.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.

Requirements

• NYS Special Education/Students with Disabilities certificate (including Grade 7) preferred.
• Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education prior to start of employment.

Benefits
