About the position
The District Permanent Substitute may be utilized at the elementary, middle school, or high school as needed. The assignment is an 8 hour work day to occur anytime between 7:15am-3:45pm. The successful candidate will serve as a substitute classroom teacher on a daily basis for all student days of attendance within the 2024-25 school year. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or a new teacher seeking to gain experience in a district with a caring, student-centered culture and a strong focus on the student learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a substitute classroom teacher on a daily basis for all student days of attendance.
- Assist in maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure student engagement.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio Teaching certification/licensure
- General Substitute License
- Temporary Substitute License
Benefits
- $125.00 per day for each day of student attendance
- Eligible for single healthcare benefits in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the Agreement between the Perry Board of Education and the Perry Classroom Teachers Association (PCTA)
