About the position

The anticipated position available is for a Computer Repair Technician Level 1, starting on January 2, 2025. This role involves reporting to the Network Administrator and requires relevant certifications along with at least 1 year of experience. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems hardware, software, and peripherals. The position also includes managing network entities and working with various district outsourced technologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, upgrades, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems hardware, software, and computer peripherals.
• Troubleshoots/maintains/fixes Chromebooks/PCs/Macs/Printers over various manufacturers.
• Gathers information from equipment periodically for state and other reporting.
• Manages network entities including but not limited to cabling, switches and servers.
• Performs research and gets specifications in order to replace and upgrade district technologies.
• Works with various district outsourced technologies such as Realtime SIS, Lenovo, Acer, etc.
• Works with staff members on technological solutions for their current and future needs.

Requirements

• Relevant certifications.
• 1 year or more experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Networking Environment, Microsoft Windows 7/10, TCP/IP, Microsoft Office Suite, Chrome OS.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and climb ladders as needed.
• Motor vehicle license and ability to provide own transportation.
