About the position

The Child AOP Community Support Specialist at Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is responsible for providing social services linkage, emergency intervention, and crisis intervention services to children in Hancock and Pearl River Counties, MS. This role includes oversight of Day Treatment services and transportation assistance, ensuring that children with serious emotional disturbances receive the necessary care and support as per PBMHR standards.

Responsibilities

• Ability to apply knowledge and communication to age-specific care competencies
• Ability to provide advocacy, consultation, and education services
• Ability to develop individual service plans with each youth and legal guardian
• Ability to document the therapeutic process
• Ability to follow company guidelines related to personnel policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Healthcare Required
• DMH Certification Required within 90 days of hire date
• Must possess valid Class D MS Commercial driver's license within 30 days of employment
• Successfully pass a security sensitive background screening
