About the position

The AP/AR Coordinator is responsible for processing all accounts payable and receivable transactions across various divisions. This part-time role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing electronic ledgers, and ensuring timely collection of revenue. The position requires strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to collaborate with different divisions and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update account database by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Manage electronic ledger and ensure payments are posted.
• Work with each Division to ensure revenue accounts are accurate on a monthly basis.
• Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Maintain financial historical records by electronically filing accounting documents.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.

Requirements

• Basic Accounting / office environment experience required.
• QuickBooks experience preferred but not required.
• Self-starter that takes initiative with a high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
• Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
