About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our team, responsible for ensuring smooth financial operations through accurate processing of payments, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining financial records. This role emphasizes attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, making it essential for the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Process checks, ACH payments, and cash outflows accurately and timely.
• Manage the company's credit card program, ensuring proper use and reconciliation.
• Review and process employee expense reports for compliance and prompt payment.
• Handle direct and indirect billing with precision.
• Enter and manage financial data with attention to detail.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment questions and maintain relationships.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations thoroughly.
• Create and review financial reports to provide insights for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry expertise.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software; Acumatica knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and collaboratively.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in account reconciliation (2 years preferred).
