About the position

The AP Staff Accountant position at Robert Half is a long-term contract role focused on maintaining accurate financial records and managing vendor relations within the biotech/pharmaceutical sector. This role is essential for ensuring smooth financial operations through effective accounts payable and receivable management, as well as leveraging accounting software to streamline processes.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently handle accounts payable duties to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage vendor relations, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Leverage Excel proficiency to track, analyze and report financial data.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
  • Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline financial operations.
  • Conduct monthly close procedures and generate journal entries.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Leverage experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry to navigate industry-specific financial challenges.
  • Handle accounts receivable duties, ensuring all incoming payments are accurately recorded and processed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) management and processing
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures
  • Demonstrated skill in conducting Bank Reconciliations
  • Familiarity with maintaining and updating the General Ledger
  • Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries with accuracy
  • Experience with Month End Close procedures
  • Knowledge of NetSuite financial software
  • Proficiency in using Oracle financial management system
  • Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
  • Familiarity with SAP financial software
