The IT Business Operations Analyst II at Apache Corporation will be a key member of the Information Technology team based in Houston, Texas. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about configuration management and data integrity within IT operations. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain and reconcile configuration item (CI) attributes, ensuring that all data discrepancies are addressed promptly. The analyst will serve as a liaison between various IT groups, raising awareness and educating stakeholders about the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes. This includes creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation and producing configuration status account reports for infrastructure teams involved in operational tasks. In addition to these responsibilities, the IT Business Operations Analyst II will conduct configuration audit checks to ensure that physical IT data aligns with the CMDB. This role will also involve initiating change workflow processes as necessary to update data reconciliation processes. The analyst will collaborate with other process owners to develop and ensure seamless integration and handoff points, while also consulting with business analysts to understand application requirements. This includes defining architectural components that meet those requirements and assessing how ongoing architectural changes will impact CMDB dependencies. The successful candidate will be familiar with the CMDB activity cycle and possess knowledge of installed or soon-to-be-installed dependency mapping solutions. This position requires strong communication skills to report regularly on the performance and metrics of the program to senior management and stakeholders. The analyst will also need to demonstrate leadership skills to galvanize IT domains such as networking, storage, or application management, ensuring that all teams work towards a common goal.
