About the position

The Apartment Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a property, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and managing a team to achieve budgeted goals. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a commitment to resident satisfaction and property maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned property.
• Provide input into the development of property budgets by analyzing financial statements and operational reports.
• Set rent rates and ensure timely collection of rent and fees.
• Approve invoices from vendors and manage communication between vendors and the accounting team.
• Oversee lease enforcement processes, including approving resident applications and conducting apartment inspections.
• Analyze market trends to implement marketing and leasing strategies for occupancy and revenue goals.
• Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance of maintenance team with company standards for service requests and property inspections.
• Supervise property staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Manage client/owner relationships through property tours and performance updates.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of property management experience required.
• Experience in collections, maintenance supervision, and leasing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and residents.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with weekly reports, month-end close, and budget variances.
• Reliable transportation required.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager is a plus but not required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
