About the position

As an Apartment Leasing Agent at InterSolutions, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to both current and prospective residents. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, driven, and possess a passion for working with people. You will be responsible for greeting prospective residents, giving tours of the property, and determining their housing needs and preferences. Your ability to engage with different personalities will be key in closing leads and ensuring a positive leasing experience. In this role, you will accurately prepare and assist new residents with all necessary leasing paperwork, including lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and conducting employment and credit checks. You will also be responsible for collecting security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins. Communication is vital, as you will need to convey all lease and community policies to both new and current residents, ensuring they are well-informed. Following up with leads and prospects who did not lease is another important aspect of your responsibilities. You will ensure that apartments are move-in ready by conducting inspections and adding any last-minute touches as needed. Additionally, you will seek out new residents through creative marketing techniques and manage the lease renewal process. Timely responses to all calls, emails, and site visits are essential to maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs and preferences.
  • Accurately prepare and assist new residents with all leasing paperwork (i.e. lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and employment and credit checks).
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins.
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents.
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease.
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting and adding last-minute touches when appropriate.
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques.
  • Manage the lease renewal process.
  • Respond timely to all calls, emails, and site visits.

Requirements

  • Experience in retail, sales, or other customer service positions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and exposure to social media.
  • Knowledge of leasing software a plus including Yardi, Blue Moon, Onesite, MRI, etc.
  • Ability to work weekends as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous backgrounds in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service roles.
