About the position

We are seeking a motivated Leasing Agent to join our team at Three Rivers Associates. The ideal candidate will have a passion for real estate and excellent customer service skills. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for showing available apartments to potential tenants and providing them with detailed information on leasing terms. You will also be tasked with completing guest cards, qualifying prospective applicants, and preparing leasing agreements while ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. In addition to leasing activities, you will assist with property maintenance requests and coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure tenant satisfaction. Utilizing property management software will be essential for managing leasing activities effectively. You will need to maintain a thorough knowledge of Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance in all leasing transactions. Administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and answering phone calls will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will require you to utilize effective sales techniques to secure lease agreements promptly and resolve tenant issues and conflicts in a professional manner. Greeting and handling walk-in traffic will be a regular part of your day, as you will be the first point of contact for potential tenants. This position is full-time, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift each day.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using property management software
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
  • Strong administrative skills including data entry and file management
  • Sales experience with the ability to close lease agreements effectively
  • Excellent conflict management skills to handle tenant issues professionally
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Ability to commute to Flint, MI 48532 (Required)
