About the position

As a large national management company, we have a rare opportunity for a Multi-Site Leasing Professional for two of our high-rise apartment communities in downtown Grand Rapids. The Leasing Professional is an extremely important and valued position, serving as the face of our company and property, often being the first point of contact for prospective residents. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships with prospective residents and showcasing why they should select our property as their home. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in sales and a commitment to providing a positive customer experience. Due to our excellent reputation, our company is growing quickly, and we are looking for individuals who are ready to advance into roles such as Mentoring, Assistant Property Manager, and Property Manager. The position offers a competitive pay rate of up to $19/hr, along with outstanding commissions on new leases and renewals paid monthly. Your responsibilities will include gaining an understanding of potential resident needs and providing information on which of our apartments best fit those needs. You will check curb appeal and apartments each morning to ensure readiness for tours, follow up on prospect internet and phone leads to set appointments, conduct tours, and close prospects. Additionally, you will process applications, prepare lease packages and renewals, conduct move-in orientations, and ensure all move-in requirements are met to guarantee a positive customer experience. Marketing and social media management for the community will also be part of your duties, ensuring that our properties are well-represented online and in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Gain an understanding of potential resident needs and provide information as to which of our apartments best fit those needs.
  • Check curb appeal and apartments each morning to ensure readiness for tours and demonstrate our product offerings.
  • Follow up on prospect internet and phone leads to set appointments.
  • Tour and close the prospect.
  • Process applications, preparation of lease packages & renewals.
  • Conduct move-in orientation and ensure all move-in requirements are met to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Manage marketing and social media for the community.

Requirements

  • Previous sales and customer service experience is required; experience within the apartment industry is required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to quickly develop rapport with prospective residents.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Previous knowledge of Yardi property management software is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Yardi Software (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in apartment leasing (2 years preferred).
  • Driver's License (preferred).
