About the position

As an Apartment Leasing Agent at InterSolutions, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to both current and prospective residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals in finding their ideal apartment while ensuring a smooth leasing process. This position is perfect for enthusiastic and driven individuals who have a background in retail, sales, or customer service. You will be the first point of contact for potential residents, greeting them warmly and providing informative tours of the property. Your ability to understand their housing needs and preferences will be key in closing leads and securing leases. In addition to conducting tours, you will be responsible for preparing and assisting new residents with all necessary leasing paperwork, including lease move-in packets, applications, and lease agreements. You will also handle the collection of security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins. Clear communication of lease and community policies to both new and current residents is essential, as is following up with leads and prospects who did not lease. Ensuring that apartments are move-in ready by inspecting them and adding last-minute touches when appropriate will also be part of your duties. To attract new residents, you will be expected to employ creative marketing techniques and manage the lease renewal process. Timely responses to all calls, emails, and site visits are crucial to maintaining a high level of customer service. Successful candidates will have a background in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of personalities. This role reports directly to the property manager and offers a dynamic work environment where you can grow your career in the multifamily housing sector.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs and preferences.
  • Accurately prepare and assist new residents with all leasing paperwork (i.e. lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and employment and credit checks).
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins.
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents.
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease.
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting and adding last-minute touches when appropriate.
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques.
  • Manage the lease renewal process.
  • Respond timely to all calls, emails, and site visits.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and exposure to social media.
  • Knowledge of leasing software a plus including Yardi, Blue Moon, Onesite, MRI, etc.
  • Ability to work weekends as required.
