About the position

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician at MAA Briarcliff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our apartment homes and property facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and possess strong problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs, which include preparing apartments for new residents, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units, as well as electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures. Additionally, you will handle plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs. Following a planned preventative maintenance schedule is essential, and you will also be expected to follow up with residents after repairs are completed to ensure their satisfaction. The role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our residents. Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on apartment homes and property facilities.
  • Prepare apartments for move-in by ensuring all systems are operational and in good condition.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures.
  • Conduct plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs as needed.
  • Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed on time.
  • Follow up with residents after repairs are completed to ensure satisfaction with the work done.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
  • HVAC experience is required.
  • EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
