About the position

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician at MAA Dunwoody, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our apartment homes and property facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and possess strong problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs, which include preparing apartments for new residents, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units, as well as repairing electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and locks. Following a planned preventative maintenance schedule is essential, and you will also be expected to follow up with residents after repairs are completed to ensure their satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on apartment homes and property facilities.
  • Prepare apartments for move-in.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units.
  • Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures.
  • Conduct plumbing repairs and carpentry work.
  • Maintain locks and other hardware.
  • Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Follow up with residents after repairs are completed.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
  • HVAC experience required.
  • EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
