About the position

The Apartment Maintenance Technician at MAA Hampton Pointe is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs to ensure that apartment homes and property facilities are in good working order. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of service and quality for residents, involving tasks such as diagnosing and repairing HVAC units, electrical appliances, plumbing, and carpentry. The technician will also follow a preventative maintenance schedule and engage with residents post-repair to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures
• Perform plumbing and carpentry repairs
• Maintain locks and other property facilities
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule
• Follow up with residents after repairs are complete

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in multifamily property management or facility maintenance
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence
