The Apartment Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and are natural problem solvers. The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repair tasks, which include preparing apartments for move-in, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units, as well as electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures. Additionally, the role involves plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs. The Maintenance Technician will follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and will also follow up with residents after repairs are complete to ensure satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order.
  • Prepare apartments for move-in.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units.
  • Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures.
  • Conduct plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs.
  • Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Follow up with residents after repairs are complete.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
  • HVAC experience required.
  • EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
