About the position

The Apartment Maintenance Technician at MAA Midtown is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs to ensure that apartment homes and property facilities are in good working order. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of work and providing excellent service to residents, contributing to their overall satisfaction with their living environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks for apartment homes and property facilities.
• Prepare apartments for move-in by ensuring all systems are operational.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures.
• Conduct plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs as needed.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and complete follow-ups with residents after repairs are done.

Requirements

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience is required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
