About the position

As an Apartment Maintenance Technician at MAA River North, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our apartment homes and property facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and possess strong problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs, which includes preparing apartments for new residents, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units, as well as electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures. Additionally, you will handle plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs, ensuring that all aspects of the property are in good working order. Your responsibilities will also include following a planned preventative maintenance schedule and conducting follow-ups with residents after repairs are completed to ensure their satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to providing excellent service to our residents. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a valid EPA Type II or Universal certification, or be willing to obtain one within 90 days of hire. Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
  • HVAC experience required.
  • EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
