About the position

The Apartment Maintenance Technician at MAA Pleasant Hill is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs to ensure that apartment homes and property facilities are in good working order. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of work and providing excellent service to residents. The technician will engage in various tasks including HVAC repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry, while also following a preventative maintenance schedule and ensuring resident satisfaction post-repair.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures
• Perform plumbing repairs
• Conduct carpentry work and lock repairs
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule
• Follow up with residents after repairs are complete

Requirements

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence
