About the position

The Apartment Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and readiness of residential units within a premier apartment community in Delaware County. This position involves completing work orders, performing various maintenance tasks, and preparing vacant units for new residents. The technician will engage in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and hardware installations, contributing to the overall maintenance of the buildings and common areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to make-ready units in a timely manner.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.).
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical, construction, and plumbing trades.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.

Nice-to-haves

• Pool certification preferred, but not necessary.
