About the position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that work orders are completed and that vacant units are ready for new residents at Village in the Park Apartments. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and hardware installations. The technician will also be required to be on-call on a rotating basis with other team members, with the goal of maintaining the buildings and common areas in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to make-ready units in a timely manner.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.).
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Be on-call on a rotating basis with other members of the maintenance team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, at least one year of apartment maintenance preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical, construction, and plumbing trades.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Driver's License (Required).

Nice-to-haves

• Certificate in HVAC preferred or earned at no cost to you!
