About the position

Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a premier staffing firm, is seeking dedicated Apartment Maintenance Technician II for Multi-Housing clients in the Auburn, Puyallup, and Kent areas. As a Technician II, you will play a key role in ensuring our multi-housing units are ready for new residents. You will be responsible for completing repairs, renovations, work orders, and various projects as directed by the Community Manager and Maintenance Manager. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to providing excellent service to residents. In this role, you will perform daily service, routine and preventative maintenance in units, apartment maintenance including prep work and painting, common areas, and all grounds. You will prepare move-in inspection reports with new and vacating residents and conduct self-safety inspections around the complex and with co-workers. Your responsibilities will also include repairing roofs, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and carpentry for the complex. You will track the key/lock system and change locks as needed, install new appliances such as dishwashers, ranges, and refrigerators, and provide courtesy services for tenants, such as delivering packages and routine maintenance for the pool/spa. Additionally, you will be responsible for repairing and repainting the interior and exterior of common areas as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide courtesy services for tenants, including delivering packages and maintaining the pool/spa.
  • Repair and repaint the interior and exterior of common areas as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in apartment maintenance or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push and pull up to 100 lbs. daily, climb stairs and ladders, reach for supplies, and perform overhead painting.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and carry out both verbal and written instructions and directions.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen in accordance with family housing regulations.
