About the position

The Apartment Maintenance Technician at Ashley Management Corporation is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of a mid-sized apartment complex. This full-time role emphasizes strong customer service skills and mechanical aptitude, ensuring that maintenance requests are completed efficiently and effectively while adhering to company standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests requiring mechanical aptitude in plumbing, flooring, drywall, electrical, and general carpentry.
• Maintain a high level of customer service, including effective communication with residents, co-workers, and vendors.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule with other staff.
• Perform snow removal as needed.
• Report any physical condition of the property that jeopardizes safety or requires repair to the supervisor.
• Ensure that assigned service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner, typically within 24 hours.
• Assist with turnover work to ensure vacant units are made rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Monitor inventory of parts and supplies according to property guidelines.
• Attend and participate in technical training programs to maintain personal skill level.

Requirements

• Minimum of one to two years of previous experience in property management maintenance or a related trade.
• Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation with current automobile insurance.
• Basic math skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
