About The Position

The Sr. E911 Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for the E911 emergency communications team in the City of Atlanta. This role involves sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process, while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The coordinator collaborates with hiring managers and various departments to meet staffing needs and maintain high recruitment standards, ultimately contributing to the retention of E911 personnel.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel (intermediate to advanced user).
  • Exceptionally strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Manager with various recruiting functions for internal and external candidates, including scheduling interviews and sourcing candidates.
  • Coordinate and initiate all pre-employment testing, including assessments, background checks, drug testing, and physicals.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates for E911 positions.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and training schedules are established.
  • Prepare and conduct orientation sessions to introduce new employees to the organization, policies, and procedures.
  • Build relationships with local educational institutions, community organizations, and job fairs to promote E911 career opportunities.
  • Collaborate with HR and training departments to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals.
  • Administer assessments and background checks as required for E911 candidates.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies tailored to E911 personnel.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and networking, to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Act as a point of contact for candidates, addressing inquiries and providing updates on their application status.
  • Coordinate and participate in employment job fairs.
  • Assist in job postings to various job boards, employment centers, social media outlets, colleges, and universities.
  • Provide overall administrative support in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.
