About the position
Acuren Inspection is seeking an API 510/570/653 & UTT Technician to perform visual and non-destructive examinations of pressure-retaining equipment in accordance with industry standards. The role involves providing technical reports and recommendations to clients regarding equipment condition and safety, while ensuring compliance with safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment according to API standards 653/510/570 and ASME.
- Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition to clients.
- Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, and alteration of plant equipment as required.
- Offer technical input on welding and metallurgical issues to clients.
- Guide clients on the application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
- Comply with all Acuren and client safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.
- Certification to American Petroleum Institute Standard 653/510/570.
- In-depth, working knowledge of API 653/510/570.
- Minimum of five years experience working as a visual inspector.
- Technical report writing skills.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
