About the position
Acuren is seeking an API 653/NDT Level II Inspector to perform visual and nondestructive examinations on stationary equipment at a client site in Texas City, TX. The role involves ensuring compliance with API and ASME standards, providing technical recommendations for equipment maintenance, and participating in safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API and ASME standards.
- Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition to the client.
- Provide technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment as required for safe operation.
- Offer technical input to the client regarding welding and metallurgical issues.
- Provide guidance on the application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
- Comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
- Willingness to travel if needed.
Requirements
- Certification to American Petroleum Institute Standard API 653.
- Active CWI certification is a plus.
- NDT Level II Certifications Required.
- TWIC Card required.
- In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
- Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.
