About the position

The API Connect Developer role involves providing professional services related to IBM API Connect (APIC) and DataPower (DP) for a duration of 9 months. The developer will work closely with the client, BCBS SC, under the guidance of a project manager or technical lead, contributing to API design, implementation, and ongoing project support.

Responsibilities

• Provide five full-time APIC/DP resources to work under the direction of the client.
• Travel to the client's location in Columbia, SC for one week at the start of the engagement for an in-person design thinking/planning session.
• Provide expertise and leading practices recommendations on API design and organization as part of API management in IBM APIC.
• Support API design and implementation work.
• Assist BCBS SC with ongoing project work and other APIC/DP-related activities within allotted hours.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience as an API Connect Developer.
• Active security clearance is required.
