About the position

As a Product Director in the API Marketplace at JPMorgan Chase, you will lead customer-centric product innovation, overseeing the entire product lifecycle from planning to execution. Your role is pivotal in driving the 'API First' journey, ensuring that API engineers have the necessary tools and capabilities to manage their products effectively. You will inspire cross-functional teams to create solutions that meet customer needs while fostering a culture of continuous innovation.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets.
• Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets.
• Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives.
• Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives.
• Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation.
• Works with developers to identify challenges and ensure the developer portal addresses these challenges.
• Defines end-to-end experience including portal UI, identity and access management, and observability.
• Maintains and develops a product backlog that supports the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
• Collaborates with engineering, architecture, design, and stakeholders to create a product roadmap that reflects business outcomes.
• Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
• Translates business requirements into epics that support the organization's initiatives.
• Works directly with the design team to develop an experience that delights platform customers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications.
• Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics.
• Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, and value management.
• Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Proven working experience in developing a portal from scratch.
• Demonstrates proficiency in written & verbal communication, specifically in translating technical API related concepts to a broad audience.
• Advanced understanding of identity and access management concepts.
• Results-oriented and self-motivated; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
