About the position

The API Developer at Truliant Federal Credit Union plays a crucial role in the modernization of the Credit Union's services through the development and management of SOAP and REST web services. This position involves collaborating with various teams to oversee the full API lifecycle, ensuring secure and efficient API deployments while optimizing existing systems and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, documentation, and improvement of the enterprise integrations strategy, architecture, and standards.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and estimate effort for new integration projects.
• Analyze business processes and underlying systems to understand and document integration points.
• Design, build, customize, and support MuleSoft APIs and Integration Solutions for Enterprise Applications.
• Troubleshoot, identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and document solutions.
• Develop appropriate test scenarios and scripts as needed.
• Ensure that security and performance best practices are followed when developing APIs.
• Assess the health and performance of web services, providing support for both production and test environments.
• Create and maintain documentation on integration architecture components, including data catalogs, data flow diagrams, and API definitions.
• Identify potential process improvement areas and suggest options and recommend approaches.
• Develop and implement/release reusable components/building blocks for enabling the API led strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology or similar discipline required.
• Minimum of 3 years' MuleSoft CloudHub application/API Developer experience.
• Experience in developing/configuring, testing, and deploying/releasing MuleSoft Cloud Hub components.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in REST, HTTP, MQ, JSON, XML, and SOA Design.
• Experience in designing and building API-led Connectivity in Hybrid environments preferred.
• 2 years of Java development experience preferred.
• MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 and Level 2 /Integration Platform Architect preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Salesforce and Workday connectors preferred.
