About the position

The API Developer at Glow Networks is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, ensuring high-quality software development practices. This role requires proficiency in various programming languages and cloud technologies, with a focus on integration and testing methodologies to deliver robust API solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Conduct integration testing, end-to-end testing, and unit testing to ensure software quality.
• Utilize AWS services such as EKS, VPC, EC2, and S3 for cloud-based solutions.
• Work with Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.
• Create architecture diagrams including Sequence, UML, and C4 models to document API designs.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Familiarity with AWS services, particularly EKS, VPC, EC2, and S3.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation, including OpenAPI/Swagger and OAuth 2.0.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cassandra/Keyspaces and ELB.
• Familiarity with Functional Programming using Effect-TS.
• Understanding of Git for version control.
