About the position

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our API-based applications, ensuring their security and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to our innovative projects. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and building a wide variety of intuitive and consistent public Restful APIs. You will also consume third-party public APIs and have a solid understanding of the full stack of technologies that are needed to build and run an API from the ground up. Implementing secure coding practices to build internet-facing software is essential, as is creating services that respond to RESTful API queries and retrieve data from internal sources. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work with product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. You will operate in a cloud-native environment, specifically using AWS, to deploy and manage applications. Additionally, applying zero-trust architecture and identity-based systems concepts will be part of your responsibilities. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or Rust is required to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience architecting & building a wide variety of intuitive & consistent public Restful APIs
• Extensive experience consuming 3rd party Public APIs
• Solid understanding of the full stack of technologies that are needed to build and run an API from the ground up
• Implement secure coding practices to build internet-facing software

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proven experience building applications using APIs
• Strong knowledge of secure software development practices
• Familiarity with networking concepts and zero-trust architecture
• Cloud-native experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Excellent programming skills in Python, C, or Rust
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
